Serenity Adult Day Center Receives Caregiver 2019 “Mission Champion” Honor
Serenity Adult Day Center is pleased to announce it has been recognized as a 2019 Memory Care Home Solutions’ “Mission Champion” for its dedication to connecting its clients and their families with crucial caregiver support and training related to dementia care. The Mission Champion accolade was received by a select group of organizations in the St. Louis metropolitan region who proactively and collaboratively connect families caring for loved ones with dementia to the resources necessary to reduce caregiver stress, improve the functional abilities of people with dementia and reduce healthcare costs.
“We have a vision of serving every caregiver who could benefit from support, education and training for dementia care,” says Memory Care Home Solutions Program Director Jill Cigna. “We rely on premier organizations like Serenity Adult Day Center to help us identify families who want to extend and improve quality time at home for loved ones with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It is a privilege to celebrate Serenity’s contribution to our organization and families affected by dementia caregiving.”
In recognition of its outstanding partnership with and commitment to Memory Care Home Solutions, Serenity Adult Day Center will be honored along with ten other recipient organizations at Memory Care Home Solutions’ 8th Annual “Swing into Spring” awards event on May 2nd at the UMB Champions Club at Busch Stadium.
“We are extremely proud to be recognized by Memory Care Home Solutions for our partnership with them in collaborating to provide comfort and relief for families experiencing the difficult journey of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease,” says Serenity Adult Day Center Executive Director and Co-Owner Carolyn Dowd.
Serenity Co-Owner and Program Director Amy Dowd confirmed the team’s passion for serving as a champion of addressing this overwhelming need in the St. Louis community: “Our team is highly skilled in providing dementia and geriatric support services. We are committed to continuing to support Memory Care Home Solutions in delivering comprehensive care and resources to those struggling with memory loss.”
